On Homecoming

May 11, 2026

Observation: coming home is not a place. It's a practice. A choice. A return.

I keep noticing how often I expect homecoming to feel like arrival — trumpets, certainty, a settled feeling that stays. It doesn't. It feels like remembering to come back, over and over, a hundred small times a day.

The return is the home.
