Hey there, I'm Jess, and I love helping entrepreneurs navigate the entrepreneurial journey mentally & emotionally. I share my personal journey with my Diary Of An Entrepreneur Series on Twitter.
For me, entrepreneurship has always been a channel for creation & self-growth. As entrepreneurs, we often talk about how we need to grow in order to serve our business. But I think we should also ask another question, “How can our business service our personal growth?”
How It All Started
After a year panic attacks, depression & suicidal thoughts in 2015, self-development became my way out. In that journey of learning to build a life a love & doing inner work, I landed a job as a marketing assistant at Best Self Co.
I would eventually become their Chief Marketing Officer & after over 3 years, I ventured out on my own to build Longplay. We scaled to 7-figures in the first year & after generating $300M+ in revenue for DTC brands, it inspired me to build Backbone, a SaaS company helping DTC brands to automate their email marketing strategy.
Now, I’m sharing my experience & insights as I go through my entrepreneur journey of continuing to build Longplay & Backbone.
I'm also a writer, speaker, podcast guest, consultant, and product developer, always looking for ways to share my experience and help others build sustainable businesses. My areas of expertise include DTC e-commerce marketing, retention and lifecycle marketing, and progressive agency business modeling.
My goal is to bring back true education in the deepest sense of the word – teaching kids how to think for themselves and navigate the world.
I want to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders to create positive change in their communities and the world.
By creating access to mentors and allowing youth to shadow different jobs, kids can get a better sense of how the world works before they commit to a specific degree or career path.

To be honest, this isn’t a daily, weekly or even monthly thing. You’ll only get an email from me when I have something meaningful to share.
