The Anatomy of Alignment

Align your truth, energy and action.

Jess Chan1 min read

Alignment is not a feeling you wait for. It is a structure you can examine. When life feels off, one of three things is usually out of place.

The three elements

  1. Truth — what you actually know, beneath what you wish were true.
  2. Energy — what genuinely enlivens you versus what quietly drains you.
  3. Action — what you are actually doing with your days.

Alignment is the overlap of all three. Most misalignment is not mysterious: it is truth without action, action without energy, or energy spent on something you know isn't yours.

The practice

Once a week, ask:

  • What do I know that I'm pretending not to know?
  • What gave me energy this week? What took it?
  • Does my calendar agree with my answers?

Where the answers disagree, that is the work.
